NEX Format:

While it takes some fundamental knowledge of the

Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, there are some major changes that come into play:

  • Effect monsters (Other than Spirit Monsters) cannot declare an attack during the turn they are summoned (They can attack during a turn they are Flip Summoned)

  • The above rule doesn't apply if a monster is in a Zone that a Link Monster Points too.

  • You can only Link Summon once per turn.

  • Cards and their effects update and adapt to the format. (updates of cards will be posted in change log)

Some Mechanics have been simplified due to ease of reading.  Ex: Gemini monsters: no longer state they are treated as Normal Monsters while on the field / in the GY and you can normal summon them to have them gain their effect...  this is now common knowledge.

In this format a Gemini monster treated as a normal monster can still attack the turn its summoned! so during your next turn you can Gemini summon it to have it gain its effects, but since its already been "Summoned" now it can attack this turn as an effect monster.

EXTRA DECK MONSTERS:

Any monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck that used a Normal monster(S) as material can attack the turn its summoned.

This also is the case if the monsters in your Pendulum Zone are 1 or more normal monsters, the monsters you pendulum Summon can attack.

This is also the case if you ritual Summon and any monster used for the Summon was a Normal monster, that ritual monster can attack.
